In Queen Bea, children learn that thinking differently can actually be a superpower.
What makes Queen Bea charming is the way it blends a fun, imaginative adventure with a deeper message about how all children see and process the world differently.
About to be crowned as the new queen, Bea realizes she isn’t quick to lead; she struggles, makes mistakes, and even runs away. But it’s her slower, more thoughtful way of noticing details – the dew on a spiderweb, the glow of a firefly – that ultimately makes her realize she was meant to lead all along.
Flying away from the noisy, overwhelming honeycomb hive, Bea befriends a firefly named Franklin. During their journey, they face danger that tests Bea’s courage. And when Bea learns the hive is collapsing without her, she must decide whether to return as its queen. This heartwarming tale celebrates the power of self-belief, the beauty of seeing the world in our own light, and the idea that our unique gifts can save the day.
